I agree not the greatest author ever, but certainly entertaining and always enjoyable. I remember with great fondness the day two young girls whom I love dearly pinning me down and demanding in no uncertain terms that I read Pawn of Prophecy. Not only did reading the Belgariad, quickly followed by the Malloreon, help me to understand a secret language that they had devised which consisted mostly of quotes directly from these series, but it also introduced me to a style of story telling to which I was previously unaware. I have not read Eddings for awhile now, but I think that it is time it visit with old friends again. Besides marrying Garion or Sparhawk why does no-one give Silk his due?
