Mark, I wish producers of animated films would put as much thought into their scripts as you have into this analysis. When boiled down, what you have said is simple basic understanding of human reactions to one another...simple, not simplistic.

Thanks for another story post. As I mentioned before, they are very interesting to me, and I look forward to them. I wish there were even more places to read really insightful commentary like yours. I checked out the links on the sidebar of your blog, but most of those blogs are focused on animation, not story. (I really liked the perennially grumpy Michael Barrier.)
