Perhaps Ron Paul has been cobbled together using several Democrat parts, which would help explain why he seems to be more sensible than the other GOP candidates.
If you read some of the things Ron Paul said, you'd realize that he's the craziest of all the Republican candidates. And that's saying a lot.
Great post Mark. Letterman, last night, ran a trailer for "The Hobbit" identifying all the little people in the story. "Ron" was inserted as the leader of the pack. Your post matches that joke.
More differences than similarities but, yeah, I see the similarity too!
A study on dissimilarities (in general) would be a fun exercise because there is some serious gold to mine in that. For instance, I can almost feel the tension in the the face and the shoulders of the Japanese actor. Ron Paul's pose reads more as a 'setting aside' gesture.
I don't suppose you have a link to the video that this still came from?
If you meant 'No Editorial Comment Intended (wink wink)' then... disregard all previous.

If it wasn't clear, I was thinking Japanese Kabuki theater there as an associative reference. What can I say, I live in Japan.
I wonder if Edison was influenced by Kabuki theater or vice versa... Hmmmm.
