Such a sad state of affairs. I'm hoping The Illusionist wins for best Animated Feature. Honestly, I was very disappointed in Toy Story 3.

I'm gonna call it now: Toy Story 3 wins best picture. You can bet on it!

Too bad The Illusionist didn't get a nomination for Best Picture. It desrves it more than Toy Story 3 which, like sitcoms, has a cast of characters that doesn't grow, deteriorate or change in the slightest. They just are transplanted by the end of the film after the Deus Ex Machina rescues them from the obvious and manipulative moments.

While I think the quality of animation in The Illusionist is exceptional, I wasn't satisfied with it as a movie. I put my thoughts into a blog post, available if you click on my name.

I think Toy Story 3 will win the animation award. I'll be shocked if it wins best picture.

I hope the King's Speech wins it.
