There's an interesting article in the L.A. Times about the differences in DVD revenue for live action and animation writers. Live action writers are covered by the Writers Guild while animation writers are usually covered by The Animation Guild, assuming there's any union affiliation at all.

Steve Hulett, the business rep of The Animation Guild, is quoted in the article and has further comments on the TAG blog.
