John Hubley was quite proud of the art direction for this sequence. He and Tissa David were arguing over the pan speed of an overlay, and John pointed out that someone from Europe had just called to tell him that the ride was one of the best uses of the Multiplane Camera. John used this to win the argument.
It's the only time I'd heard him take credit for anything done at Disney's studio despite some of the questions I asked of him.

Note shots 3 and 9 for the coach passengers. They are simplified, probably due to the size they were drawn.

I wonder who drew what in these scenes... there's two animators credited, Fred Madison and Ugo D'Orsi.

By the way, in 17 and 18 I expect, given their credits elsewhere in the draft, that McManus did the seagulls and Hamsel the effects (specifically the smoke).

I'm not so sure about the last couple of scenes though... would that be McManus animating the kids in 19? Then maybe in 20 Lusk animates the kids in the foreground, with McManus animating those in the background (on the rides)?
