It's amazing how non-chalant these property owners responded. What they don't seem to realize or care to realize is their deed received the improvements. Ergo, if the lien is perfected it goes against the property. If Noble doesn't pay regardless of reason --- the property owners are left dealing with the lien and possibly a lawsuit to perfect (resulting in a judgment). If the contractors can't get the money out of Noble, they have every legal right to go after the property owner (and they have taken the first step).
