More recently, I see the same thing happening with Warrent Publications, the creators of THE CREEPS horror comic-cum CREEPY clone. They've been cruising along with the success of their flagship title and seek to once more emulate Warren's empire by introducing a magazine, VAMPIRESS CARMILLA, that looks to be inspired by VAMPIRELLA. I'm not so sure it's a wise thing to do in today's market, but you never know, it might be another smash hit for them. TOXIC HORROR was around for five issues in the 1990's and its closest competitor was FANOGORIA's GOREZONE. In some ways I liked it better. Anyway, here is the first part of the second issue -- I'll let you be the judge.
