It's finally time for school to start!!! We were able to go to the school and see the kids classrooms and meet their teachers! 6th GradeXander & Miss Berns [Image] 4th GradeMara & Miss Rands [Image] KindergartenJaina & Mrs. Eckhardt [Image] The bigger girls got out the play dough and Melody was set on playing with them. It was really cute and she did really well with it, and she didn't even put it in her mouth. [Image] August 19thI made sure that the kids were ready early so I could get the customary "First Day of School" pictures in front of our big tree. [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] It was weird for Melody to have the big kids gone because she was so used to them being home during the summer. So we were really busy playing all day. I love that she will set up toys on the stairs and play. [Image] August 21stTo celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of school we had our 2nd annual outdoor movie in Mana's backyard. We started on the hill, but as the night went on we slid a bit. We watched the new Cinderella, which Jaina was excited about because she hadn't seen it yet. Melody did well for awhile, but we were able to put her down to sleep in Mana's portable crib in her basement, so it made the night easier and more enjoyable. [Image] Pat had bought a really cool shirt that day called Rocket Racoonateer. [Image] We all made treats for the evening. Lisa made her yummy yummy peanut butter bars, Chris made rice crispy treats but with lucky charms, Mana provided the popcorn, Karri the Swedish Fish, and I made the S'Mores. We all ate way too much, but it was so so so fun. [Image] August 22ndThis was Olivia's birthday and she had invited Jaina to go to her party, so that's when Melody and I were able to go to University Mall, just the two of us. Melody has been playing with Jaina's Build A Bear for a few weeks, so I decided to take her to the store to get her own, also because I had a coupon. When we were there I saw that they had Donatello on clearance for $10, so we got one for Pat. I didn't get a picture of Melody with the new bear, but she just loved putting the hearts in the animals. I think Donatello has 2 inside of him, and we were even able to get his weapons. [Image] Later that night we were invited to go to dinner with family for Olivia's birthday. When we showed up at Provo Town Center Mall, the Dansie kids were riding around on these rentable animal motorcycles. They were cute and let Mara & Jaina ride with them for a bit. Jaina was really upset because she wanted us to rent one just for her, but we didn't have time to do that. [Image] [Image] On our way to dinner we let Melody out of the stroller to walk around a bit. Then Olivia came up and held her hand, it was really cute. [Image] This is a horrible picture, because I took it in the dark then lightened it, but you can see Melody asleep with her new bear on top of her! [Image] August 23rdWalking out of church I caught this sight and it made my heart happy. [Image]
