When Pat was out doing yard work, he found a baby bird jumping around, so the bird lover that he is, he brought it inside for the kids to see.

They all had a chance to touch it.

Jaina was a little nervous about it.

But the big kids LOVED it.

On Independence Day (July 4th) we got up at the crack of dawn (3 am) for our traditional Balloon Fest Ramey family day. The past 3 years it has been too windy for take off and sometimes even blowing them up. But this year was PERFECT!!!

After the balloons, we went to breakfast with my family. I wish I had a picture of all of us at the balloons or getting food, but I don't :(
Another tradition of the 4th of July is going to the Provo Temple grounds to watch the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire. But with living in Spanish Fork now, and Jaina being cranky if she doesn't go to bed on time, we opted to hang out at home. Morri's family came to hang out too. We had sparklers, glow sticks, and a small array of street fireworks.
Pat was making a heart!

It was fun being at home and seeing the whole neighborhood set off aerial fireworks too. Definitely one to remember!
