The public health insurance option is THE pivotal issue. If this gets left out, you just do not have any meaningful reform.
It is incredibly important to have this option.
The insurance companies are aftraid of this and will lobby like hell (i.e. bribe with $$) and go all out on a false campaign to 'Swift Boat' this option.
We cannot let this happen.

I should be more active on this issue. There are all sorts of signs that Democrats are caving. No. I want real health care reform. I think that has to include an optional government administered plan.
