Dear Bee,

what a great collection of links - that's amazing :-) And it's fascinating to hear how much science content has been packed into the Galaxy Song by the Monty Pythons!

With someting like the snap preview feature, this would make a fancy "interactive video" for the song...

Oh, that's funny, especially considering it was written in the early 1980s. I had to look it up to know for sure.

And I love that picture of the Sun. It gives me much to think about. ;-)

Hi Stefan,

try again... like it?

Hi Quasar,

nah, it's gotten much warmer here the last days, all the snow is gone, we've rain and everything is grey.

Hi Uncle,

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe. ~A. Einstein

Hi Arun,

sorry, I totally don't get it. Did I write something stupid? It looks fine for my eyes?

Best,

B.

Bee or B, that is the question. (I haven't noticed your B signature so far, only Bee, hence the thought of impending vowel exhaustion.) Of course, B could stand for both.

Hi Arun,

ah. I thought my spell-check might have produced another funny mistake like 'MIND' instead of 'MOND', 'quadruply' instead of 'quadrupole', or 'Smiling' instead of 'Smolin'.

I'd appreciate a supply of vowels by mail. Would you make sure they are properly tuned to American-English? I often use up all my eeee-s reading the newspapers.

Best,

Beeeeeeee

Hi, incidentally, Kenneth Lane has randomly sent us (including me) the same "Harvey's place" joke. So I tried to understand why it's funny and it turned out that only if you're a Newyorker, you can understand the joke, and there's no way how to learn the necessary stuff to do so. Also, you must admire Woody Allen's movies to appreciate it. ;-)

That's great! The annotated Monty Python. Brilliant! Thanks for the comment and for sending me the link at The Primate Diaries. I'm encouraging others to check this out.
