The Flying Spaghetti Monster and its Pastafarian adherents are pretty scary. Ugly scary are Scientology, Intelligent Design, Bush the Lesser's thermodynamics, Enviro-whiners, ethnic studies... etc. A Christian Scientist with appendicitis is merely amusing.
