Hi Arun,

yes, I am home and dry. I was very lucky, the wind came from the other side so it didn't rain on my desk. That will teach me to check the weather forecast before I leave the house...
Best,

B.

PS: What time zone are you in?

I'm in New Jersey, so UTC-5 - US EST.

Wow, that sounds kind of frightening, like almost a tornado. Glad everything is okay now.

kind of. I was walking through the streets this morning, and there are broken branches everywhere. the flowering trees have lost most of their blossoms, and garbage flew around where dumpsters were not really closed. well, the trees will recover. but yes, it's kind of scary and reminds me how little we have to put against the forces of nature. best, B.

Was wondering about your time-zone question, so, I had just finished planting in the ground my new Nelly Moser Clematis, and trellis - took from around 6:30 to 8:00, and logged in when I came in from that.

Hi Arun,

never been in New Jersey, how is it? I was just thinking... can't quite remember what I was thinking though. Probably a frog-leaping thought. So we are actually in the same time zone? Beautiful photo, I hope the Clematis took their move well? Best,

B.

Hi Bee,

NJ is great from my perspective. E.g., here I live within 0.6 mile of the county library headquarters branch. More some other time!

Since my transplant method involves not disturbing the plant roots at all, I'd be surprised if the move didn't go well (slice the pot if necessary). The time consuming part here was digging a big enough hole and setting up the trellis.
