Hi Ushanka, I'll take the blame for the "insane focus on web technologies." (I did most of the inviting). It's what's sexy in the industry right now (and my personal bias...) so it's very easy to miss passionate speakers from other domains.

To be fair, when we invited Dan Ingalls, we thought his talk would be a bit of a counterbalance but he also ended up doing a web topic. Also, two non-web speakers couldn't make it at the last minute.

That said, we're definitely going to try and shift the conference back towards having a bit more of a technical / software engineer-ey focus next year.

Any suggestions? Any passionate speakers that you think would fit in at CUSEC?
