I do believe I have almost the same lovely shiny brass chandelier, but I don't think I was wearing that awesome outfit when I bought it LOL Mine is about to turn white.

I too have a chandalier that is just...too shiny and I'm threatening to have one of my guys take it down so I can paint it. They look at me in disbelief and that rather scares me to do anything with it...thank you for the inspiration!! love it! Judi
Love the transformation, Ele! I've got that same brass fixture over my kitchen table. Came with my 1998 house. I've already gotten another chandy, tole, that I've just cleaned up and need to repaint & add some prisms to. Then I'll be up-to-date, too! Love how yours turned out. Could it be going into the sunroom?!?
Wow Ele ...you certainly have been busy with the spray paint. I love what you did with the chandy; plus all the other wonderful redo's. Keep them coming, you are giving me some wonderful ideas.

This chandelier I like.
[Image]The one below...not so much. The chandelier with it's shiny brass finish and clear ribbed glass globes was purchased by me, (while wearing stretchy turquoise stirrup pants, and a glittery gold, turquoise, and orange flowered over- sized T-shirt). The little somethin' somethin' that put the spring in my step and gave me confidence to buy this piece of reflective goodness? Matching turquoise flat shoes. Can we say 1980's? Ouch.
[Image]Would you believe this is the same chandelier? The transformation started with a can of Rustoleum black hammered spray paint. The Rustoleum people should be sending checks my way, but they are not. This spray paint says it does not need primer, but I noticed that due to the slick brass finish it is not scratch free. Not a lot of wear after it's hung on the ceiling, so no worries. I replaced the ribbed glass with frosted very inexpensive glass globes. Sometimes, I'm just cheap like that and not paying a lot, works for me. Hey chandy, welcome to the 21st Century. [Image]I have the perfect spot for this updated beauty. Stay tuned!Blessings, Ele

That's great! We have a similar paint called Hammerite in the UK, which I can also get in France. I won't forget the possibilities...
