Oh, my goodness. That is about the cutest shadowbox I've ever seen! It's so great that you saved these and have found a wonderful way to display them...they are divine!
I am in love with this! It is so cute and the quote is perfect. I suspect this will inspire a future project at my home :-) My dining room is also filled with teacups/saucers and dishes from previous generations - the silverware will fit right in. Any tips for keeping it looking so tarnish free? (And is that little fork "First Love"? That was my grandma's silver pattern.)
hi Ele, I LOVE that bunny silverware! How stinking adorable and that little poem is perfect to go with your collection. Sweet Sweet Sweet!!! hugs vivian
Hi Ele, The baby silverware is gorgeous. I love how you have them displayed. I have a framed set that were mine on display. Tarnish and all. As always your talents shine through. Blessings, Celestina Marie
That is PRICELESS, Ele! I love the idea of finding ways to display heart-treasures! I also admit I am laughing so hard right now at Connie's comment. She's a cutie, and I often get a kick out of what she writes!
Just wonderful! Now I would have to frame those plastic-tipped ones as that's what I used for daughter, and she is using new ones for g-daughter! Well, they are pastel.........
Ele That is so pretty,Ijust love how your family kept all tose memories to pass on.I love your swap gifts too!.Joe had his grad last night he is thrilled to be done.Took lots of pics will post soon.Miss ya too lots!Love ya,Jen

Ele, this shadow box is just adorable!! Combines my love of all things baby with my favorite silver, too! So wonderful to have three generations of baby items to display together & I so love how you matted it with that sweet poem!
We have a 3 pi. set of my in-law's wedding silver in a shadow box in our kitchen ~ I'll have to pic it for you soon!
Can't wait to see the time collage you are working on!!
Clever, clever Ele!! I have to make one of those! I so miss my children in those early years! They did grow too fast! I would cherish seeing those little gems out! Thank you for the touching idea! Love,Lori

I have shown you treasures in my dining roomthat bring heart into my home, now I'd like to show you some more!
Baby silverware- 3 generations of forks and spoons that were lovingly used to feed strained squash, carrots, applesauce, peaches (the favorite) and green beans, (NOT a favorite!).
[Image] I am a saver, but I TRY not to keep items that are not used or displayed.
Display sweet baby silverware in a shadow box. This shadow box came with a photo mat on which I copied a vintage poem, "a child should always say what's true and speak when he is spoken to; and behave mannerly at table. At least when he is able". Hmmmm?
[Image] Craft Tip: This shadow box is about an inch deep. I used a solid colored mat board, (available at your local framing department), for the back. I attached the silverware to the mat board by using the self stick velcro. Stick one side of the sticky velcro to the mat and the other side of the sticky velcro to the spoon/fork. Secure each utensil to the mat board by lining up the velcro. You could also glue pieces of ribbon to the mat board to secure the utensils. [Image]My shadow box treasure hangs on my wall. Blessings, Ele
