I am ashamed to say that I am Old School. I like my silver polished and shining. We have my hubby's grandparent's silver coffee & tea service and I guess I just always felt that if they entrusted it to my care (before he passed) that it was up to me to take care of it. It is the real thing and maybe that makes the difference, I don't know. I also polish all the other silver pieces we have, chargers and spoons and servers. But, that is just me and I don't care what others do...and I think some of it looks cute when it is staged with shabby abandon. I guess that was lot more than you asked for, huh?;>) xxoo Diana

I love the silver birds and I like that they are looking tarnished. as for silver-ware... I think I would rather it be polished! I should dig mine out and see how it looks. I never ever ever use it. it was my grandmothers, given to her as a wedding gift. I wonder if she ever used it?
have a fun week in your nest!

I do love how the silver glitter tarnishes, but it does take on a whole new life!

So pretty! I have those birds, but they are packed away. Now I want to dig through all my Christmas stuff and do something similar! The nest banner is super cute! Love the vintage wallpaper you used.

Love your sweet nests and glittery birds!

Funny that you mention polishing silver. Last week I polished 17 pieces. I just don't like mine looking tarnished, but that's just me! My family thinks I'm weird!!

Happy Easter
The Easter sign is so cute..love it and so is your Easter glittery bird basket. I should try some of that glittery too..very pretty.

I'm sorry about flooding and I hope you have everything sorted out and back in place.

If I have the time I don't mind polishing silver either...the end result is always so gratifying isn't it...

Have a blessed Easter.

Oh I LOVE polished silver, just loathe the process of polishing. Maybe it's because I'm just plain lazy? that could be it!
Lovely projects --love the NEST banner, adorable!

Oh, what a great idea, I want to get my glittery silvery Christimas stuff out and decorate with it too! So "out of the box"!!! Just beautiful! And yes, I do love to polish silver, I feel as if I am slowly "unwrapping" a gift. I get so excited to see the shiny silver come through!! I don't mind a bit of tarnish, but when my pieces get too bad I have to polish!
