The World of Electronics on the water is changing very fast.
Let's take a look at today and do "some what if" for the future. [Image]
Today's World of Fishfinders and Sonar - All the options,
4 Transducer frequency's, Touch screen, high resolution screens, WiFi, Bluetooth, Auto updates, Broadband
radar, Sirius weather, Fuel & engine management, Tablet/Cellphone
control, Video input, Dual-Channel AIS
Marine VHF Radio, NMEA 2000 networking, Ethernet networking, Social
mapping, AutoChart Mapping, Waypoint sharing, Marine audio control, Auto control of
trolling motor or outboard motor, sonar 360 degree view, gain a 180° side to side perspective with 1.2 MHz Side Imaging and anything I forgot.
The Future ofFishfinders and Sonar - What if:
1. We had a transducer with a built-in camera? The clear lake and Bass people would love that.
2. We could WiFi interface our GoPro cameras to our fishfinders? Control, watch & share.
3. We had a camera on the fishfinder and just said SHOOT to get a picture.
4. And that picture would go to a waypoint with depth, location, and speed with input options.
5. One would need an App to download/interface/share all this waypoint info.
6. See both Trolling motor and Transom mount transducers on one screen when trolling. (Now Can)
7. Would be nice to have an app on the fishfinder to track "time fishing or time on the Water".
Just Say'in! What are your thoughts on the future?
