Happy Birthday Jill! So glad that you got the flowers ok. I gave them my phone number but they didn't call me to let me know there had been a problem. Huh. Wonder why? They are beautiful, I am glad you like them. Have a great day tomorrow.
Excellent! It sounds like you are pulling out of the doldrums. You had Jenn and I worried there for a bit... How delightful to go out and do many fun things, and then come home to such a bounty! You should have known that you are loved by many and your friends would come through for you.
I love the photo of Jenn and I want to go get some of those letters now! So cool. The flowers are gorgeous. I never buy fresh flowers so it always seems like an incredible treat when someone else does.
Your birthday weekend is off to a rollicking good start. Hooray! I can't wait to join in the celebrating.
I am so glad you had a good day! I am kind of indifferent about birthdays. I love when they are good but I don't care too much if they are not.
I am supposed to be cleaning, I went down to see what the kids had accomplished on their end. NOTHING!!! I am hot and still have tons to do and it is 8:20pm!
Those are really pretty flowers. I love fresh flowers, I wished they lasted long enough to justify buying them for everyday.
I have had BAD birthdays until the last couple of years (thank heavens for girlfriends and Kelly, who tries!!) and it is hard to get past history and actually feel real anticipation for them. However, I can't stand to hear that other people had bad birthdays, because I know how much that sucks!
I'm disappointed you didn't get my card today since I sent it on Thurs. Something for Monday!
I love birthdays, though my love of them is waning a bit as I am an adult and have so many to remember with two families and an ever-growing circle of friends. Still, I love to celebrate someone and their birthday always seems like the perfect time to me. As far as mine goes, I made a big deal out of it as a kid. I still want to do fun things on my birthday but they are growing a bit less exciting. One thing that would really make my day some year is a surprise party for me. I know that sounds lame, but I think the only year I've had one is when I turned 16. There were a few surprises that year.
wow that is sooo cool! I am glad you had a wonderful day today and looking forward on monday! wish I was there to come with! well the breakfast looks delicious and the pictures are so fun, and yours with the kids is pretty nice missy! I am glad you took it, sometimes life has a way and if you are not paying attention you are always on the other side of the camera! I love birthdays and feel disappointed quite a bit, I think they should be the biggest deal in the world! so sad when things don't turn out fun, until I met you! at least I get a wonderful present from you! guarateed. My mom usually gives me 100 dollars and that is the best thing in the world. Alf has been pretty good at giving me flowers and stuff, and this last birthday he blew me away...so I love to celebrate, at least to a good restaurant and shopping money hopefully!
Happy birthday Jill!!! I like birthday's okay, but am kind of the indifferent sort. My husband does do a pretty good job of making it special, even if it's not necessarily the day of my birthday. He is terrible at keeping secrets, so if he goes shopping he can't wait to tell me what he bought, or at least have me open it early. What a silly goose. Anyway, hope you have a great day tomorrow.
I didn't know it was your birthday! You collected everyone's info you stinker and then didn't give it to me! That's it! I don't miss bdays Jill- never again!
Jill. that picture of you and the kids is darling!!!
oh I knew your friends would be coming through, i almost bought a ticket to come out there.
birthdays love them!!! as an adult i feel i have to work hard to make it fun and remind my husband how much i love them and i train my kids to get excited for me too. i don't ever want to say "oh it's ok i don't need anything, we don't need to do anything" it's a birthday, i don't care what age. party it up!
i am so glad you got the gift, it stresses me out living over here in egypt not knowing if mail and packages are going to make it to people on time.
Happy Birthday Jill! I don't know you, but according to Kristi, you are a great person! She had such a beautiful post about you on her blog. I hope you have a wonderful day!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILL!!! I loved what Kristi wrote on her blog, I knew all these things about you just by what you write and what you do for others. I hope that today you know that you are someone who has touched many lives. That you have made total strangers feel like they have always been part of the gang. I hope to one day meet you. Have a great birthday and enjoy the day.
Happy Birthday to my new friend Jill... I am very jealous of your birthday loot and of course, the morning at IHOP. (which is a personal favorite of mine- I really like their grilled cheeses- but I don't think we have them in NYC) I hope you have a great day- by the posts on your blog, I can tell you are EXTREMELY loved and I'm sure everyone will try and make your day special and fun. As for birthdays on my end... I was born on Christmas Eve, which was a lot of fun when I was a kid (yes, my parents were nice and I got separate sets of gifts) but now that I am older, and wanting to spend time with my boyfriend and friends on my birthday, I get a little depressed sometimes. Everyone is always spread out all over the country with their families and even my hometown friends tend to be bound up by "family stuff." Thankfully I have a few friends who let me bring some birthday cake to their family's celebrations. :) Because of my birthday being so close to Christmas, some people tend to forget it, but I have vowed to have a birthday party this year- even if I have to throw it for myself. haha HAVE A GREAT DAY

Happy Birthday Jill! You don't know me and I don't know you, but I hope you have a heck of a day! Since reading your blog...I think a lot more often about sending good mail to people. Your generosity is contagious-even for people like me who have never met you!
Happy Birthday!! I hope your weekend just gets better and better!! You deserve the BEST birthday ever and hope it is wonderful!

Happy Birthday, Jill. Good friends like you are one in a million, and I am glad that Kristi has a friend such as you. We all benefit from a good example and the good caring that you obviously give to all of your friends. I hope that you have a great day.
if you check your blog stats you will see that i am totally stalking your blog today. i can't wait to see what was in the packages! i wrote on michelles blog i almost think i am more excited about your birthday that you could be. i keep checking everyone's blogs to see what they have to say about you. what a fun day for me!
Heres another birthday wish! I always look forward to your blogs. You have this wonderful way of showing your amazing talents, skills, and thoughts without bragging in any way. I read your blog and become inspired without feeling intimidated. How do you do that??
22 comments- that might be a new record! Just goes to show how much so many people love you. You deserve all the happiness in the world for all the good you do for others. Excuse the belated nature of my celebration of your birthday- I am retarded. Happy Birthday!!!

Hi Jill! Happy Birthday! After reading Kristi's wonderful birthday tribute to you I then checked Amy M's blog and there was a picture of "good mail" you sent to her---you really are an amazing generous person! Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday Jill, sounds like all roads lead to you. Your a great person with much to appreciate. I remember more of your sister Lori, she and I had one of my most memorable road trips. You and Lori definately have a nack for humor. You two could always get Kristi and rolling like two stuck pigs.

Happy Birthday. I love the birthday bounty and you exhibit such self control in waiting to tear through all of your gifts. That is a great picture of you and the kids and it sounds as if your day-o-fun with Jenn was great.
The pictures you took of her kids are darling. I love with one where she has her baby on her back and he's cuddled up to her, that is the best. What a fun time you must have had.

Happy Birthday to you! (If you've never been treated to the Petersen version of the Happy Birthday song, ask Michelle and Jessie--you'll be amazed and astounded, and quite possibly frightened to death). You deserve every good thing that comes your way! Enjoy it.
I, too, am amazed at your amount of self control in not opening your packages. Can't wait to hear what's in them all!
Since you are still celebrating your birthday today, I thought I would wish you a Happy B-Day on your blog. I put it in the wrong place on Kristi's. I need to learn to follow direction. You are truly an amazing friend to so many. You deserve all the accolades.

[Image] Me, Randy and the kids went to breakfast at IHOP this morning. I felt ridiculous posing for this picture, but now I'm glad I have it.
[Image]Jenn and I went to a matinee of The Devil Wears Prada. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I had listened to it on cd last year, but liked the movie much more. Meryl Streep is my favorite actress (which I didn't until I typed that).
[Image]Jenn and I went to lunch at Goodwood, then went shopping at All My Memories and JoAnn's. I took this photo of Jenn in JoAnn's because she was cracking me up with her reaction to the size of these paper mache letters. They're enormous.
[Image]This is the very happy sight I can home to after my fun day out with Jenn. I'm not opening anything until tomorrow (the anticipation is delightful). The gift bag is from Amie, the square box is from Claudia, the Priority Mail box is from Kristi, there's a card from Hannah, two homemade cards from Whitney, and the stuff in the Amazon.com box is from a mystery sender at this moment. Thanks you guys for being so thoughtful and for sending stuff so it arrived today. That was so nice!
[Image]Randy and the kids came home a little after I did and brought me these gorgeous flowers from my sister Robyn. She ordered them from a place in Provo but somehow they didn't get on the list to be delivered today, so they called Randy and gave him the option of picking them up and getting them upgraded or just waiting until Monday for them to be delivered. He obviously picked them up. Thanks Robyn! (Maybe I should have gotten you flowers instead of making you wait 10 weeks to have your presents delivered. Why didn't I think of that?)
I've had such a good day and am so thankful that Jenn was in cahoots with Michelle and made this day happen. Michelle has been trying to plan for a day out with me, but with Marc leaving for Paris, her babysitters being at a ward activity at the lake, and Eva being sick it wasn't working out, so we're going to go out Monday. Jenn called Michelle to get the news and then offered to watch Whitney on Monday when Michelle and I go out (Landon will be at Scout Day Camp), plus called and asked if I'd like to go to the movies, lunch and shopping. I had to think about it for like one second. Thanks Jenn!!

I love birthdays--especially mine. Is that narcisitic? Anyways how fun to get so many packages and beautiful flowers from your husband.
I have heard a lot of good things about that movie. My mom and sister really like it. Maybe I will have to go check it out!
P.S. What and where is Goodwood?
