That is a veiled chameleon. I used to have one as a pet. They are indigenous to the middle east.

That's no veiled chameleon. Veiled chameleons are a tropical, aboreal species. This one is obviously a terrestrial desert species.

It's also the best chameleon photo I've ever seen, and is now saved to my hard drive. :)

Veiled chameleons, unlike most other species of chameleon, are found in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Just Google them and you'll see that I'm not crazy!

I can 100% identify that Chameleon, it's a Namaqua Chameleon, (Chamaeleo namaquensis). You guys are correct, Veileds are tropical, this Chameleon is a ground dwelling desert Chameleon.
