Could it be some kind of tapir? It kind of looks like the "mountain tapir"

Maybe a really ugly baby mountain tapir...

i'm thinking thats a rare Sumatran Rhino- they're quite small and quite hairy- mom is in the back there- she looks hairy too. i rather like Sumatran Rhinos because they're the cuddliest of the rhino clan.

Normally, I think all baby animals have some charm, and are cute in their own way. THAT creature is hideous! As to why anyone would want a pig that big in their home, I'm baffled...

That first picture reminds me of a famous photo from Smithsonian Magazine many years ago, of an elderly woman walking a 1500-pound pig on a dogleash.

IIRC, the story accompanying the photo said that certain breeds of pig top out at 2000 pounds but, if they've been raised as pets, aren't aware of how big they are. (Some large dog breeds are like that, too: Great Danes, for instance, are firmly convinced that they're lap dogs.)

Hahaha! The guy with the giant pig reminds me of my high school trig teacher. He had a fondness? obsession? with pigs. At the time, he owned at least one potbelly pig...

HA! Before I read the comments I was convince it was a fake representation of a wholly rhino family in a museum.

Wow. Yeah, my vote for the 2nd picture was a really good sculpture of something prehistoric, or maybe just a made-up beastie ... I'm gonna have to look up this Sumatran Rhino thing! (The eyes still look fake to me... Meh.)

Umm ... And ... Huh? Apparently Blogger is now linked to my Gmail ... Oooohkay. Random! (I occasionally posted here as "K" before ... Huh.)

I think I've seen that man in the first photo on Animal Planet. If I recall correctly, he trains pigs for exhibitions at schools and such.
