I recently picked up Daytona USA, and I'm having a hell of a time controlling the cars. I do like the track design though. The same with Episode 1 Racer (though I haven't had that game for years), but Racer is just a blast anyway.

Thanks for reading and commenting, Aaron. I think the key to success in Daytona 2001 is to forget everything you knew about the previous games in the series. In 2001, you'll get much better results if you treat it more like a Ridge Rcaer game and attempt to 'drift' around corners rather than turn into them. Took me a while to figure that out! And yeah, Episode 1 Racer is just great fun...

Magforce isnt a bad game but not a good one. Could of been much more. It was a port of a average game on the ps 1.

I have a question actually something that was bought up by my nephew. Im not sure whats its called but why didnt more DC racers use the car models like the ones found on Toxkyo Extreme. This "shiny look" was much more cooler than what is normally found on the DC

i tried the 24h option on the Le Mans track. It took me a few weeks by playing between 30 to 60 minutes per day. That was gruesome but an interesting experience.

Magforce racing has hidden depth.
once you beat the game a single time, you unlock speed increase.
at full level, the game runs far closer to something like F-Zero GX.
it's a very underrated game.

Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 is a game i still play. it's like the OG Forza Horizon. perhaps Tokyo Highway Battle was the first. either way, full recreation of Tokyo highways and on the fly battles were intense. good custom options too.
