I love the people trying to sue Dan Brown over The Da Vinci Code because he "stole" ideas from non-fiction books. I'm going to sue Star Wars because they stole the idea of Space Aliens from a book :(

Good post, that picture of OutTrigger makes me want it really badly. I need to buy Shenmue first...i spent all my money on anime DVDS and will have to wait >_<

I actually believed that the DaVinci thingy was much worse (in terms of story)than Gabriel Knight 3. Still it got 100 local christians on the street, which -admittedly- was amazing fun. I think one of them actually cursed a friend. w00t. Yes, she (it) did.

Of course I couldn't agree more wit the spirit of the post. If it weren't for Dreamcast related games, I'd have liked to see every young democrats/socialists/green /anarchists fav game: America's Army.

And mind you, the Da Vinci book has beenmarketed as quasi-fiction, or more like a historic-novel, despite the little blurb inside the book. Besides dan Brown has given quite a few 'historical' lectures at not-so-esteemed universities... Anyway, it was a mildly amusing book. If you'd like to read something on Jesus and his buddies (and their offspring) may I suggest Bruno Bauer, or contemporary (well, almost contemporary; 19th century) writings on his work. He was the first guy that proposed Jesus didn't even exist, and Christianity is a not-so-educated mix of Stoicism (of the Seneka flavour), Judaism and late Roman ideology...

All I've heard about for the last two weeks is this Da Vinci bloody code. To be honest...I really couldn't care less about it myself.

Had the chance to watch it, but saw Xmen 3 instead. Seems a few million other people had the same idea - Xmen 3 had the fourth highest grossing opening weekend of all time...
