One of my favorite arcade racers on the Dreamcast. I really wish we would have had Outrun 2006 or some of the Cruisn games as well.

Nice post, Tom! I was actually playing 2049 a couple of days ago and I’m surprised at how its striking and sterile futuristic setting is a far more acute depiction in 2021 than it was back in 2000. In some ways, it feels like the logical conclusion of a city who’s identity has been thoroughly reshaped by decades of tech industry occupation and rule. Although many of the Financial District’s iconic landmarks are still recognizable, they hardly feel familiar.
