Great read, thanks for the work you've put in. For the next poll i would prefer a rating system where the 20th ranked game of each voter gets one point, the 19th two points and so on up to number one which gets 20 points. I was quite surprised seeing Shenmue 2 seven places behind its prequel. Maybe thats a cause of your system. Other than that a really nices list!

The only problem with the voting system you suggest (which was one of the models I looked at when preparing for the voting) is that for many people deciding the exact order of their choices is a difficult one. Picking one ultimate favourite is hard enough for some, when it gets down to whether you want Game A above Game B to be ranked at number 12 or number 13, then it becomes a bit too complicated. It's a fair point though, appreciate the feedback and glad you enjoyed the list.

The dreamcast is such a unique machine. First, thank you for the great work putting this ranking of games together. A true labor of love I see in the words . I have owned system for all console generations, the dreamcast launched a special generation, which ushered in true 3D gaming. Introduced more advanced online, multiplayer gaming. Beyond the tech, new franchises were born and matured here. When I imported the Japanese version in 1998, it was truly special. The 21 century was previewed , 3D acceleration just brought gaming to such heights this early. Since, you have not felt the leap between generations to the level from ps1/Saturn/n64 to the dreamcast.

Thank you for taking the time to write a truly special piece here. Very great read indeed. Dreamcast was a truly special machine, ushered in a great console generation, truly ahead of its time. There has not been a system since where you saw such a leap in quality from the prior generation. When I bought my Japanese console November 1998 , the future was here. 10. Months before the American Launch, what amazing software from sonic adventure, virtua fighter, power stone , soul caliber etc. the first months were amazing in year one alone. I have a special place in my heart. When I think of gaming , the best came out of this console , long live the dreamcast .

Really really good stuff!
A couple of games to also consider...
Tee Off, and although it was crap I loved Virtua Athlete. If only I kept my original vmu with athletes from USA, Germany, Russia and Latvia to compete against! That Beistol guy can get some things definitely right.
