I apologize if this is off-topic, and/or answered elsewhere on site:

What sort of tools are you using to search the Pali corpus for particular linguistic constructions?

(At one point I was thinking about building some statistical tools to test hypotheses about Tibetan linguistics by searching against a corpus. My interests moved in a different direction, but...)

I use the Vipassana Research Institute Desktop app.

There is also the Pali Canon Online Database. Though it is less useful.

The searching is pretty primitive, but I used to be a professional database searcher in the days when charges were per minute for the phone line, and the database; as well as per record charges, and there was nothing like Google. So I'm able to make the most of it.

HI Micro (name?)

Everyone is a critic and every Buddhist is a know it all. I drew my chart from the Pāli Canon which I read in Pāli. If your friend has some constructive criticism, anything more specific then let me know. Otherwise I'm not really interested. I feel not the slightest desire to get into a pissing contest. There's really no point. You can see which texts I've used since I label the charts. See for yourself.

Dear Micro

The opinion you sent me was very far from constructive and hardly intended to open a conversation. Anyone is free to comment on my blog or send me emails. Even "international renown dhamma teachers". I will try to answer any questions they might have.
