I've found the Alexander Technique extremely helpful, and also to be be similar to, and to complement, sitting meditation. Like you, I also greatly appreciate the fact that it is devoid of metaphysics.

Alexander was the son of a 19th century Tasmanian sheep farmer - I doubt they had much time for metaphysics!

I notice how like the AT my Taichi practice is - especially in the more static practices.
