What the useful idiots do not want to face or acknowledge is that Islamic oppression of women is roughly equal to slavery: her life is not her own, she is denied freedom of movement, her marriage is forced upon her, the fruits of her labor quite literally -- her children -- do not belong to her, and if she tries to escape she may be murdered with impunity.

Among other things, we are an abolitionist movement. Maybe what is needed is an underground railroad for Muslim women. When one of these teenage girls is threatened with death by her father because he's afraid it's going to shrivel up and fall off if she goes out and has her own life, she should not have to walk into that house the one last time that results in her death.

Honor Killings are very much not in the news here in the United States, even though there has been a very recent, and very high profile Honor Killing in the Dallas area. The media has not really come out and explained the situation. Certainly, we would never have anyone in a position such as the coroner come out and explain that it was opposition, on the part of the victim, to an arranged marriage which would have led to the killing. No, that simply wouldn't happen.

And, sadly, the reason that would be given for not explaining the situation to the public would be an adherence to the legal process itself. A lot of truth can be hidden in rules and bureaucracy.

With the increase in atrocities the Left will really show itself up as hypocrites and they will lose even more influence.

We can only hope. What is frustrating is that the atrocities will have to reach a dangerous level for that breakthrough to occur. That should have happened back on 9/11/01.
