Next step will be to make a list with all the Jews living in Vatican. Oh, wait, they already did that.

Great post, MR. One of the best I've seen on any counter-Jihad site in awhile.

Benedict knows what is going on. He has had experience with Nazism, and we are told he opposed it.

He has very clearly spoken out against anti-Semitism. In fact, he was the driving force behind the change in the way the Catholic Church saw the Jews in the Vatican II.

Additionally, Benedict has made it clear he understands the threat posed by Islam.

To whom much is given much is expected.

If Benedict doesn't use the knowledge he has to set about changing the world, then he has missed his calling. I believe God put him here to do something big, and he is doing nothing.

Can you imagine if Moses said, "No thanks, God. I think I'll sit this one out."?

Benedict is like Jonah, running away to Tarshish when God wants him in Ninevah.

get to work, Benedict, for God's sake.

We are divided, DR, but only by those oceans.

We (IBA & friends) are the counter jihad. The governments don't want to do it. The Churches don't want to do it. The people as a whole don't want to do it.

So back to back and shoulder to shoulder.

I will not submit!

And, if we manage to get through this thing, I propose we all meet at some honest to god pub or tavern and get drunker than monkeys celebrating our victory.

(Epa is buying. . .)

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more!

Thank you Pastorius. I take it as high praise indeed.

Yes, Ratzinger showed such promise and hope at first. I thought the same as you, now we have a man for our time. One of whom much will be required and who can take that challenge on.

Instead, of late, he seems to be a shrinking violet and that's very frightening.

The Storm is on us now, Pastorius, and Benedict needs to do something before the sailors throw him overboard to calm the tempest.

Jaco, brilliant post. My daughter was wearing a star of David emblem around her neck. It had been given to her by Israeli craftsmen who were working at the KC Renaissance Faire over the summer, and she wears it proudly. She found herself in the midst of a HAMAS rally in KC, and was surrounded by the most hatefilled protesters, many of them not even Arabs, but college kid dupes. She is herself in college, and needless to say, she was scared out of her wits. It had a profound effect on her psychologically, and she is now a strenuous supporter of Israel. She saw first hand what no one could teach through books and photos just what genocidal hatred is.
And what we need from Christians is not evangelizing but strong defense of the faith and a willingness to call evil by its name. The willingness to tell the worshippers of Mohammed that they are hellbound wrong and that their god is Satan. We need more Father Zakarias and Stephens. Martyrdom in Christianity kills no one, and saves countless souls.
We need, in a word....fearlessness.

I once stood up for Israel at an "anti-war" rally.

I hadn't got more than 10 words out of my mouth when the "peace" people surrounded me and started screaming in my face, "The Jews need to learn to get along with other people. The Jews are committing atrocities against their neighbors."

Screaming at me, despite the fact that I was holding my three year old daughter in my arms.

She was scared and started crying, and after we left, she asked me, "Why do they hate the Jews?"

It's pretty damned near impossible to explain it to a child.

It's hard for me to understand.

By the way, thanks for telling me the story about your daughter.

Tomorrow, I start wearing my Star of David necklace again.

I knew it was only cosmetic, pasto, don't mind a'tall.

Jewel & pasto -- several years ago my wife gave me a pendant made from a bronze Judean Widow's Mite (Mark 12:41-44) certified to about 50 b.c. I wear it next to my St. Christopher and, though it's highly unlikely, like to think it may have passed through the hands of Mary or one of the apostles or even. . .

I have quite a number of Jewish friends & coworkers, ranging from young techno geeks to older stuffed shirt managers. It's sobering to realize, in today's climate, I may soon need to physically defend one of them on the street. (though they support the idea, few carry the means for armed self defense).

Thanks again both for the kind words.

MR,
Thanks for posting this. You've put into words what has been on my mind for quite some time.

Of all Christian leaders, I expected something much bolder from this Pope.

I've decided that the reason is some kind of fear. But fear of what?

Is it the possibility of admitting that the conflict with Islam is a religious war and that the West doesn't fight religious wars anymore?

AoW -- I think it goes much deeper than that. And it has to do with that Third Secret of Fatima.

You need not believe in Catholic Prophecy, especially Fatima, but as long as Ratzinger does -- and this is almost certainly the case -- it affects his actions.

I am no way qualified to speak about the prophecies so this very brief explanation is my take on it only.

Essentially, that Third Secret I refered to may be the crux of the issue. Remember that these are prophecies, and were to be revealed BEFORE they occured. So when the Church cocked up the nonsense about the attempted assassination of the Pope AFTER the fact the faithful pretty much said WTF?

Ratzinger was supposedly instrumental in the fraud. He wrote the commentary on the Sceret but it was dictated to him. And he has kept that info to himself all these years.

Alledgedly the true meaning of the Third Secret is the loss of Faith and the Church itself, said to happen before the last days. He may be afraid by taking too hard a stance, he will exacerbate that problem and usher in that error.

Then there is his name. According to some other Catholic Prophecies (NOT the Bible) the last Pope before the Ascencion of the Anti-Christ to the Thrown of Peter would be Benedict. Sobering but HE KNEW THIS when he chose the name. He may be having second thoghts, cold feet, about the mantle he chose to accept.

Again, you need not believe in Catholic Prophecies Last Days or End Times, as long as Ratzinger does, whether true or not, they matter.

For way better explanations on this when you have ALOT of time, and are so inclined, go to the links I included in the post. Also search The Bayside Prphecies, and this site as well: http://www.tldm.org/default.htm

"An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah." Matthew 16:4

Pastorius' comment above may be more spot on than he realized.

I have said for a few years now(since I started paying attention) that the Islamic religion appeared to be nothing more than a front for evil...nothing about that belief system is remotely religious. From the moment ole Mo was "visited" by that "angel" to this very day, Islam is simply the evil one's frontal assault against the Church.

I agree--we Catholics MUST become very vocal about the terror that is being unleashed against Israel and stand united for Israel

In Mary's Image,
I'm convinced that Islam is modern day Baal worship. Allah is a god who thirsts for blood and demands human sacrifice.

His followers give him what he wants.

And, we are all left to suffer for it.

Allah destroys men, tempting them to death, and he does it by twisting truth into strange shapes.

That is the work of Satan.

There are some (myself included to a degree) that believe Satan has some of his followers well and highly placed within the Vatican itself. Influencing decisions made.

So, then if these things are true...what then? Will this be the final struggle between good and evil?

Mary -- If these things are true then this MIGHT be the final struggle between good and evil. It certainly seems that way with what we are seeing, doesn't it?

Problem is, when it comes to Catholic Prophecy, I'm of 2 minds. In my more lucid moments, I don't always believe Catholic Prophecy, at least not all of it. And I'm certainly no subscriber to End Times prophecies, The Rapture etc (Catholicism itself doesn't teach the rapture, anyway)

The point I hoped to make is that they don't have to be true, or you and I don't have to believe they are true. But if Benedict believes they are, and acts based on those beliefs then he makes decisions -- or indecision -- he might not have otherwise. And by that indecision -- not speaking more forcefully against Islam and what is going on -- he is doing damage. And possibly forcing a false prophecy to be fulfilled, or a true one seem to be fulfilled before it's time. That's the work of The Devil. And possibly

By the Way -- I just started reading your blog after I saw your comments here. Very nice place you got there (love that title) I've made it a regular daily stop.

Let me try to be a bit more succinct. I was trying to explain Benedicts actions, or lack thereof, by including his belief in Catholic Prophecy. I'm not trying to explain Catholic Prophecy itself.

I'm not sure if that really makes it clearer. . .

I'm going to visit my dad this week for his 85th birthday--and I plan to get his thoughts on your post as well. He has some pretty interesting ideas about this pope anyway. Thank you again.
