Of course, it must be the 'hijacked' version of the Koran because the 'peaceful' version doesn't mandate any such activity does it :-)
If it is a slip I'm sure it wont be long before it's edited and republished with a more pro-Islamic slant or they might just even replace Koran with Bible!
If it isn't then wow, times are a changing and hopefully for the better.
I don't think AP is a monolithic organization, though they do seem to be inaccurate, almost without fail, on the subject of the ME crisis. Most stories on Islamic terrorism in Israel are filed by men with Muslim names. I note that, in this case, the story is filed by a man named Federman.
I'm guessing Mr. Federman's bias towards Israel is probably not the same as the bias' of those with Muslim names (tend to be).
I'd prefer to think a corner had been turned. But, I doubt it.

This quote is from an AP news report re-printed by Yahoo.com. The article was about the latest attack on Israeli civilians by an Islamic terrorist. The quote was from an Israeli police chief. AP made no disclaimer. No euphemisms (like insurgent, nationalist, or youth) were used.
It’s no longer shocking to read that a Muslim terrorist was motivated by Islam’s most revered holy book. It's almost expected. Of course, Yahoo has to pair it with a quote from Hamas. But I can remember when news reports omitted any reference of Islam and the Koran. Has a taboo been lifted? Or just a slip-up on AP's part?
