over zealous use of swat is becoming a huge problem in the last few years, this story is tragically not unique.
instead of good police work, catching the bad guy away from the building and arresting him quitely then doing a more normal entry on residences they are opting for combat style operations.
this isnt racially motivated its monetarily motivated, police departments all over the nation, some of whom need swat teams like an extra hole in the head, need to spend money do raids to justify budgets for expensive swat equipment and training

Detroit Police shoot 7-year-old girl in house search George Hunter, Doug Guthrie and Valerie Olander / The Detroit News Detroit -- Mertilla Jones recounted the horrific death of her granddaughter this evening outside the home where the 7-year-old was killed by a police bullet. "They blew my granddaughter's brains out. They killed her right before my eyes," Jones said. "I watched the light go out of her eyes. I seen it." Aiyana Jones was fatally shot early Sunday by a Detroit Police officer hunting for a murder suspect, police said. She had been asleep on a living room sofa when officers raided her east-side home. It was a duplex; this family lived on the opposite side from that of the suspect. The SWAT team justified this action by stating they had a warrant for entire building.

Sadly...I'm expecting the far left to exploit this tragedy...to sugest the idiot officer whom killed the seven-year-old girl was "racially motivated".
Even though the racially motivated morons whom would predictably say this would probably ignore the victim and her family if they were white.
