Your breakfast sounds heavenly. 65 degrees?? I'm surprised, because Denver usually has similar weather to ours, and we haven't been anywhere near that warm yet.
I love Audrey Hepburn, but I don't really like Breakfast at Tiffany's. That Asian character is offensive to me, such a caricature.
Someday, when I lose a lot of weight, I'm going to buy all of my skirts at Anthropologie. Someday.
My favorite city I have explored on foot would be Paris. I have done a LOT of exploring in the times we have lived there. But also SF, it was brief but oh so fun!

My favorite town on foot would be Washington DC (MCM) and Alexandria,VA. Oh and Savannah, GA. I can't wait to discover more new places with the help of my feet--that is the best way!
I know you don't know me, but I like to look at your blog from time to time, I'm not even sure how I found it...I'm sure it has something to do with blog hopping...anyhow, I live in Denver and I'm so glad that you were able to enjoy it by foot. Isn't it a lovely place? I love Cherry Creek. My husband actually works in that area. We have lived here, well actually Highlands Ranch, (20 minutes south of Denver), for two years now and I hope to never leave. Don't you just love 65 degree weather in February??!! I hope you didn't get too hungry on your trek back to your car.

I saw that movie a long time ago and don't remember much. Have you ever seen "Barefoot in the Park"? It's hilarious and wonderful, with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda, you might want to get that one for the way home.
I just went to Anthropologie for the first time last month. I'd heard about it before (from Lara I think) but thought it was a skinny-girls clothing store, so I was delighted to see all the cute home stuff and stationery they had in there.
I don't think I've ever discovered a city on foot before. I guess Paris was like that because we had to walk everywhere, but I have not gone on my own the way you do. I want to be like you!
I have seen Breakfast at Tiffany's many, many times. I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan. Lately, though, I love anthropologie and rarely leave there without something. I have the most adorable little pastel ice cream bowls that were my most recent purchase and an absolute steal at $.25 each!! I think the city I fell in love with on foot is London. missy
fun questions kristi....I think I have never seen the movie, although i love the dress and hat, and fashion i guess..I love Audry too! And stores...ohhhhh my I think it would have to have stationary and books. I love those two things. I have enjoyed Antropologie too as of late. And a city...I have soo many favorites--one of the lasts ones I did was York beautiful...actually the whole of England/Scotland...I spent a good month there, 1/2 with Alf and baby (1 year old) and the other half just the baby and me....before my second child.

[Image] Experiencing Denver in 4 miles or less Day one
I had a yummy breakfast at the hotel. It is such a change to wake up and have someone make "you" an omelet just the way you like it, bring you orange juice and take your dishes for you. I think I picked everything off the omelet table even jalapenos. I indulged in 2 bowls of yummy oatmeal with pecans and brown sugar. I ate it all too fast I couldn't even take a photo. I had picked up the local paper at the front desk to read during breakfast to even figure out what I was going to do for the day.
I ended up going back up stairs and got my running clothes on and decided to try out a bike path that does along Cherry Creek. [Image]I drove to the 4 Mile Historic Park. The park isn't 4 miles but I guess it is 4 miles from downtown Denver and is the route that the old stage coach would take to get the the home there. The home there is the oldest home still standing in Denver, you know how I love that old historic stuff. I did go into the visitor center to get a 5 minute history lesson.[Image]I decided to just walk along the creek about 2 miles and then I had planned to turn around and go back to my car. I did something I never do which is not listen to my ipod while exercising. It was just so nice to hear water moving while I was walking.
[Image]I loved that it appears running and bike paths find there way in this city no matter what, the is a photo going under neath Colorado Blvd to keep the path going. [Image] I don't know why I didn't choose to smile in this photo even though I was so happy to be out walking out by myself and discovering a new place. I started around 9:00 am with a jacket and scarf and when I finally came back to the car it was 12:30 and I was in short sleeves and a scarf wrapped around my waist.[Image]The beauty of discovering a town by foot is that you notice things that you would not notice going fast by car. Look at the darling Bus Stop signs! [Image]It was a beautiful walk and got even brighter when I noticed in the sky something that said Saks Fifth Avenue. What out of no where it just appeared. So I change my path and thought I would walk toward the sign in the sky. I came upon the most amazing shopping center since I have lived in Nashville and shopped at the Green Hills Mall. I am not a big fan of mall shopping but this was awesome. It was jut the best of the best stores and I walked in at 10:01 am so no one was there. I did a speedy walk past every store. [Image] On the airplane ride to Denver I watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (yea iPhone) I had never seen it before and quite liked it. So I experimented on Audrey Hepburn's character in everything is better in Tiffany's. Life was pretty good in there but if I had to pick a shop where everything was lovely for me it would be[Image] Anthropologie. And it was just right around the corner. So my movie would be "Breakfast at Anthropologie" That store was amazing and even though I tried to keep my high walking pace I became on totally sensory overload looking as such wonderful treasures.
I ended up leaving the posh mall and discovering a slew of wonderful one of a kind shops as well as some stores that I have never been in but often find myself drooling over their catalogs. It was then 11:30 and I realized that I didn't have one dime on me and was getting thirsty and hungry. I had about a 2 1/2 mile walk back and it was now 65 degrees (lovely). It was the best of both worlds for Jeff and I - I got to see wonderful items, make new discoveries and Jeff benefited because I didn't have any money with me.[Image] In the next few days I will highlight a few of the shops and the owners that I interviewed while on my journey on www.2cleverblog.com
