I would love to pix of the flea market in Italy! Sounds way cool. Food shopping at 5 a.m is funny! When the littles are up & cupboards bare, what else, but go to the market! My zombie brain wouldn't even know what to buy! Hope they all get long naps ;) and you get your zillion pix downloaded! (could you imagine if it was old fashion film!!)ciao

Welcome home and the picture diary is fantastic. We talked to Jeff last night, and he was so excited about the trip and all of the future possibilities of travel. We want to go where you visited, for sure!!! We are very glad you are safely at home and hopefully the jet lag will not take too long to get back into your regular schedule. Love you!
I love the photo of all you girls! I can just see on your face the incredulity of where you are... Oh, I remember those 4:30 mornings -- I hope everyone gets back to a more regular schedule soon! Like you said, they're tired and cranky, but it's more just a change of location, right? Poor Jeff having to go back to work today!
Jet lag and empty cupboards? Ah well, a small price to pay for such an amazing holiday and time together. I hope this is the beginning of many foreign jaunts. Don't let those passports gather dust!

What a fun adventure you took your girls on! To be up in the Alps with "mom", what an event for them. Your trip sounds tiring in the end - 19 hours! Our trip from Siberia to Utah, was the longest we've traveled with the girls, and it was long - but I don't remember how long. Good luck uploading all the photos and so glad your home and safe :-)

That's such a great picture of you and the girls, so honest and funny. Doesn't it just rock your world to think that you were in the Alps just last week?? I did that about Paris for the first month of being home and then it just became a blur.
I'm so excited for your posts about your trip and hope you'll post lots of photos and answer lots of questions.

[Image]This is me a week ago on top of the Swiss Alps, literally. I seem to be the only one smiling in the photo, the girls were tired and hungry, a little cranky. And now I am no longer on top. I am in my house with laundry, the girls have been up since 4:30 am. I was at the grocery store this morning at 5:00 walking around like it was noon. The girls are tired, hungry and a little cranky. not much has changed except the location.
So, I now want to just blog all day about the past two weeks. I am definitely going to have to make an effort to write about as many details as I can. I am almost done downloading my 1,778 photos and can't wait to get started, but first must get some sleep and feed the kids.
We spent all day yesterday 6 hours driving to Delaware to pick up our car. Delaware is where we flew out of, but Baltimore is where we were able to fly back into. So our adventure of getting home continued. I was like a zombie driving the car and was guzzling Fresca (my new favorite drink) to stay awake. So, now it really feels like we are home.
I felt so bad for Jeff having to go back to work this morning, while I will lounge in my jammies. As he left we realized it was the first time in two weeks all 5 of us will not be together. Really, the best part of the trip was just being together, or maybe it was the chocolate, oh but the Muesli for breakfast was really good too, and the flower boxes in Germany, the flea market in Italy.... oh my I have some big time blogging ahead of me.
