Dear Kristi, this is sooo awesome. I can only say, that I feel the utter most respect for those daughters that help their mothers in their darkest and most needed time. This can only delight and give so much joy to our Heavenly Father and it is one of the best ways to honor the fourth commandment. I bow my head in honor of your friend and all the goodness that she gave her mum, which i am sure she will be watching over her daughter forever...this my friend, is my dearest friend and sister Esthers' story. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing this, I felt it soo appropriate, in that I honor her for all that she did for her mum too!
I am in awe of daughters that take care of their mothers and their families at the same time. My aunt Denise is one of those, and I know that all the rest of the family reveres her and is so grateful for it.
I hope doing the walk again helps Nicole to find an additional measure of peace.

[Image]A very Pink Mother & Daughter
This is one of my favorite photos of my friend Nicole. Even though you can not see her face (she is the one hugging her mom in the pink hat) I still love it. This was Nicole 2 years ago being surprised by her mom at the finish line of her 2 day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Yep, you read it right 2 day. She walked a marathon one day (in the rain) then slept on the hard ground in a tent and then got up the next day to walk a half marathon. (whew!)
Her mom passed away last summer of Cancer. I watched Nicole take care of her mother and the rest of her family for the last year of her moms life. She did it gracefully and diligently.
Nicole was one of the motivators to me for thinking I could even run a marathon. She was the absolute first person I told that I had signed up. [Image] So, my brave friend is doing it again. It is going to be an emotional and very healing day for her I am sure. May 2 & 3rd in Washington D.C. I would have done it with her if I wasn't going to be in Utah for Women's Conference. So, since I figure if I would have done it I would have hit up all my cyber friends to help me raise money, I can surely give a big plug for my friend Nicole.
