Signing the lid of the game box is such a fun idea! I think I would take pictures of the lid, then give it away.

I love it that Annie Kate took notes during testimony meeting!

Have a great trip away this weekend!

I would keep the box lid....who knows, one day you can flatten it out and have it framed and hang it in your gameroom. From one sentimental person to another :). I smiled when I read this because I remember playing that game with you guys (what a competitive couple you were!!!!)

Acquire is the BEST GAME EVER! Can there be any replacement pieces out there? I LOVE that game.

I love that your little daughter took notes during fast and testimony! That is very impressive. My children are usually trying to color with their younger siblings.
If that game is now out of print it might be worth some money, check on E-bay. I have an out of print game that sells on e-bay for a 100 bucks!

Mindy.
thanks for the compliment on saying we were competitive because the real word was psychotic! We were nuts i have no idea why you stayed are friends.
Jeff and I still talk smack when we play games it is just less embarrassing and we don't involve those around us, so we hope you give us another chance!!!

Save it. I'd cut the sides off of the box lid, then frame the bottom piece.

If you don't save the box, some kindred (to you) sentimental soul will find it at Goodwill and feel sick about leaving it there, and will buy it and spend weeks or months trying to track down the people whose names are on it, or else not buy it and then worry about it.

You'd better keep it!

What about a shadow box for the lid, and some game pieces, and photos of some of the players - to hang in the family room? If this, or framing the top, doesn't work, what about a photograph of the top and the signatures? When in doubt, keep the whole darn thing! There is plenty of other stuff to get rid of.

Great idea! And like Jill said, just take a good photo, it is just as good as keeping the lid. I have never even heard of that game!

How completely cool that AK took notes!

I like Mindy's idea, flatten it and frame it for your gameroom...I'm sentimental like that, too!

Love that AK took notes in testimony meeting. You are a great mom...

I agree... Frame it. With pieces in a shadow box could be cool. And I LOVE the idea of signing the lid. Genius! Does everyone that plays sign it or just the winner?? It looked like only one person per date signed it...

TOTALLY keep that box-lid-treasure! And this is coming from a girl who is a chronic purger (of clutter, not food). I agree with Mindy, your box lids should grace the walls of your game room. (Not that anyone in real life actually HAS an entire room for games, but you get the picture...the cozy place where you play games.)

The testimony mtg notes are darling, and what a genius idea to send them to the speakers. I get many, many genius ideas from you. Now, if I could only find my follow-through.

cut it out, so it is a flat piece and then put it in a scrapbook or some kind of memorabilia place. You should definitely keep the lid!

I love all the great traditions you have. I'm wondering if you can scan the box lid and then incorporate it into some kind of a book about all your traditions. Maybe one of those digital photo books that you can have printed. I think that would be a great treasure to have.

I love that AK took notes from testimony meeting. I am struggling with getting my girls to pay more attention during Sacrament meeting.

I'm laughing because the first time I met you, you said you heard we had something in common. "Aquire." And I said "Oh yeah, which choir were we in?" (I thought you meant "a choir".) I miss NOLA. I agree with Liz. Scan it. Or frame it.

I love the shadowbox idea with a few gamepieces!
My parents have a game book that we always keep score in and date it. I'm going to suggest having everyone sign it as well.
Great ideas!

Being an overly sentimental gal, I'd keep the lid. Great idea to have people sign it!
