We celebrated Mother's Day by having three of our four kids with temperatures of 103. Regardless, being a mother is the BEST thing ever to happen to me and I love that I can celebrate being a mother--the good, bad and ugly.
I missed your announcement earlier, but I'm so happy for you for all of the blessings that will be coming your way! You looked so beautiful in those pictures. Glad you had a great Mother's Day. Your new ward is so blessed to have you!
[Image]A new kind of Mother's Day
Sally Jane does not look so excited to take our annual Mother's Day photo, but none the less we took it.
[Image]Sunday was just a great new kind of Mother's Day. It was Jeff's first day as Bishop of our church congregation. He conducted the meeting and even had time after the speakers to share a few thoughts. It was quite touching.
I was thrilled to get this photo of him and I (even though Annie Kate had it on super zoom) since we did not get one the week before.
I guess his gray hair can't get any grayer, so I wonder how different we will look in 5 years.
What I loved about this Mother's Day was that it was the first time I didn't care about me. I was thrilled to be Jeff's biggest fan and welcome some families in our home for dinner.
One of the young men came over after dinner and gave me a long stem red rose, to wish me Happy Mother's day. Now if that does not melt your heart, I don't what does.
