Recently we stayed in a luxurious hotel and the girls told me the next morning, "Thread counts really do make a big difference, Mom, didn't you just FEEL theirs?" I admit, I hadn't (I WAS pretty tired and anything softer than a sleeping bag is quality to me :)
Cute, Kristi. I love Tuesday Morning and always seem to score when I remember to go there. I hope those pricey (at original price) pillowcases help ease you into sleep! (And yes, you really should keep a notebook by your bed.)

I'm new to SPT and I have to say that I LOVE my pillow! It's half memory foam half down (Costco I love you!) We have a Tuesday Morning just up the street from us and I've been meaning to go check it out, but haven't had the chance to yet, now I have to!
last year for christmas my sister in law gave me 800 thread count sheets (white) because we give our favorite things like oprah. it is the BEST gift i've ever gotten, there is no turning back for me now!
love Tuesday Morning! like jill, i often forget about it b/c it is over the river and through the woods... not really, but it is on the other side of the city so i often loop it in with other errands. :)

[Image] Yes. That would be my pillow. So obviously we are all spending most of our lives sleeping than any one other thing, but this is where my creativity starts. I dream all night long. I always wake up with an idea and always go to bed with 5 stirring in my head. I call it my creative curse. It makes sleeping so hard for me. It takes me at least an hour to tell my brain to stop creating. I really should keep a notebook by my bed to write down every thing that I am thinking when I wake up. I Love nice , high thread count white sheets and pillowcases. I bleach all my bedding once a week in the hottest water I can create in my washing machine. Over time my bedding becomes as soft as butter but as holey as Swiss cheese. I buy my bedding at stores like, Tuesday morning, Marshalls, TJmax, Sams or Costco. I buy the highest thread count my budget will allow.
So last week I needed two new pillowcases. I went to Tuesday Morning (this is where the closer look comes into play in the challenge) and found two pillowcases. So if you were to look back at my pillows how much would you think the 2 pillowcases would have cost? Not more than $15.00? $20.00?

I paid $24.99 for the two (still a little pricey I know, but these splurges are worth it to me as I use them everyday) But the regular price was $170.00 - i will retype this so you know this was no mistake. One Hundred and Seventy dollars! Outrageous! I realize that this price could be anything and they can make you think you are saving a ton but all the other pillowcases were $60. regular price. So, my post is two fold. one to do my SPT - thanks Lelly you are awesome and i loved seeing how many turned out for SPT this week.if you are spending $170.00 on your pillowcases go to Tuesday Morning and use the saving to travel to Europe!and i think my sister in law may have done the spt i have ever seen....

I really can't comprehend living a life where $170 for 2 pillow cases would be acceptable or possible. They better be magical for that price!
I always forget about Tuesday Morning, but always find good stuff when I remember to go there (it's not nearby).
You're right though, we spend so much of our lives sleeping it makes good sense to have bedding we love and that cradles us in comfort.

You are the bargain queen! I love high quality sheets & pillow cases, but it's hard to find those deals. Good job!
