Also, isn't it funny about "just knowing" you were Mormon. I've seen people before, not knowing them in person, and just known that they were Mormon. It's that glow or something.
I think it's awesome that she just knew! You must be doing something right, Kristi. Those people who help us in our times of tantruming are heaven-sent.
I think us Mormons are pretty easy to spot. I am teaching my daughter the signs to look for-clean appearance, modest clothing, cute kids-certain lines you can see through their t-shirts. She is pretty good!

[Image]While getting new crocs this week for the girls Caroline had a break down in the store. There was a stuffed dog for sale at the check out. She had her heart and mind set that it was to be hers. While I explained that we were not buying it she thought hitting me and screaming would help her cause. It did not. One of the employees in the store tried to distract her while I paid for the shoes. She asked Caroline if she could hold the dog to show her why it was so special and so expensive. She said - "This is one of our most expensive toys in the store. If you come close I will show you why it is so much money. " She then began to point out different parts of the dog. It got Caroline's attention while I was paying. She then told Caroline she could come back anytime to visit it and that it was going to stay on the shelf.
Then the sales lady said, "I bet I know I song that you know too. Would you like me to sing it to you?" The girls both looked at her with full attention. The lady began to sang "Whenever I Hear the Song of a bird or look at the blue blue sky....." (listen to song here) Then she asked them if they have ever heard of popcorn popping on the apricot tree. These are both songs that are very common in our church and sung with the primary age children. I looked up at this woman who had calmed my little Caroline and asked her how she knew I was Mormon? She said to me "I just knew" She goes to a different building than me and a different congregation but is also Mormon. I was so grateful to her for helping me. The name of the song she sang is "My Heavenly Father Love Me" and seem to be quite fitting for my desperate Mom moment.
(as I finished paying and we walked out the door the beatings from Caroline continued and she threw even a bigger fit in the car - but for that 5 minutes that lady saved me..... and Caroline)
Have you ever met someone and just knew they were a certain religion? Do you love this song as much as me? (I still remember Sister Daw who taught me this song when I was young and her posters she made)

I do love that song. I truly believe that the Primary chorister (my all-time, hands-down favorite calling) is the Gospel Doctrine teacher for Primary.
And what a sweet girl - -I love it when someone really does something meaningful like that.
