I just started reading the Goose Girl. I will also need to get Princess Academy. I'm sure that Rupunzel's Revenge is pretty good. Can't wait for the pink envelopes!!
We haven't read this one, but my 8 year old that doesn't love to read has discovered Graphic Novels and is loving them! I am so happy to know about this one.. we want to foster reading however we can...
I just saw Shannon Hale Saturday night. She used to be in my ward and we had a little reunion and she made a brief appearance! I love her books, I've read all of them and am looking forward to picking this one up!
No, I have not read this book, but Shannon Hale is one of my favorite authors. Yes, I confess, I read children's literature (in addition to everything else I can get my hands on.) The Princess Academy, The Goose Girl, Enna Burning, The one with Dashti, River Secrets, Austenland, I loved them all. Thanks for pointing this one out.
And by the way, my librarian mother in law had lunch with her last year.

Annie Kate has been home sick, Jeff is out of town (if you are in Utah keep your eyes peeled for a cute freckle face with gray hair and braces) and I am knee deep in Pink Christmas (the sponsors have sent in the most amazing gifts for the pink envelopes going out on the 15th). I saw a book review for Rapunzel's Revenge and when the authors (husband and wife) said it is fun to watch the kids read the entire book without putting it down, I thought let's go get it. It is called a graphic novel - a new word for comic books. When we got to the book store Annie Kate sat down in the store and read 1/4 of it and couldn't wait to get home to get back to it. So far she loves it. Have your kids read this book? Looks like the authors are from Utah, maybe Jeff will run into them today.

Shannon Hale is great. I have loved every book that I have read by her. My favorite was Goose Girl. I can't wait to get a look at this new one.
