Thinking of you while in DC! Coming home today. I have a whole new appreciation for all of the sites you blog about now. I even went to the Postal Museum thanks to you!

I know, I know, I just read your comment and I actually felt guilty for not looking you up while there! I had to attend a conference though (social work and HIV) and between that and trying to sight see with 2 little kids it was crazy busy! But fun. Next time, I will look you up before coming to DC. We can share some Ben and Jerry's at Union Station with all our chuildren and then you can be my tour guide. I will do some DC posts but by far my favorite thing (and Griffin's) was the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. Amazing. Oh yeah, and my conference was good too.

I feel redundant saying this, but it sure seems like you pack a lot more living into your life than I do! I'm always inspired when I see photos of your trips downtown D.C. so your 12 minute video was extra inspiring. How did you make it? I loved the music with it. Thanks!

You did an incredible job with this video...thank you for sharing it with us.

I love D.C. You are a lucky girl to live in such an amazing place. I always say that if I was young and single, that's where I'd live.

So love that God Bless the USA song- gives me chills every time! Glad you got to go to DC for memorial day and for sharing it with the rest of us. That place is amazing.
My step-dad fought in the Vietnam War and he and some of his Marine buddies just got back from a trip to Vietnam to honor those that were lost and to also find some closure too. He had nothing but great things to say about his trip!

I had the opportunity to walk along the Vietnam Memorial on Memorial Day several years ago. It is a very emotional experience, and one that I am so grateful for.

Great video, and what a wonderful place to be on Memorial Day. Love the pictures of the Vietnam Memorial -- it always touches me to see the remembrances left at the wall, and people making the rubbings of names is so touching. What a great day!!
