I'll give you one of my secrets for finding cool school stuff as well as other treasures. Go to publicsurplus.com This site is an auction site various fields - aviation, school, office, etc. It is a hit and miss type of place but perhaps you'll get lucky and find a chalkboard for you as well as for Jane :)

I have no doubt that you will find a rolling chalkboard one of these days.

That Promethean board looks amazing, every classroom should get those!

I could just picture the whole thing, Kristi. You sitting there, fiddling with the cool school supplies. I hope you find your chalkboard!

Our school is getting those boards too, but they are backordered right now. We have back to school tonight. The girls have been telling me all about the fun things they are preparing for display etc.

I have a borad like that in my classroom at SLU and I do not like it - at all. The students had to show me how to operate it. I got myself a portable dry erase board for last semester and took it to each class. This semester, my room has both the computerized version and a "regular" dry erase board. I use the good old version.

Wow, I wonder how expensive those things are! You are blessed to live in a district that can afford something like that!!

How did we ever get by?

Kristi, wait til they give the one in church away!! I bet they would give it to you. Those Promethean boards are awesome!! They keep talking about how it engages the kids more--wouldn't you pay attention if you were the one making the changes on the board!! Every school in the county got them and they are very serious about giving them to the teachers who are going to use them. Aren't we lucky Annie and Noah's teacher will use it?!
