I have been on the hunt for a punch bowl for a long time. I have always wanted my moms but with nine kids I know it is not likely. I finally found the greatest one a few months back with 12 glasses at my Savers. It was only 4.99. I was so excited. It is so great for showers and things.

I love your punch bowl and the dress is adorable! I love to see your finds. Our Goodwill doesn't get the great stuff you find, but I have found stuff every once and awhile. I found twelve glass desert plates for .50 a piece. I was thrilled!

WOW! What a steal!!! I love going to a good thrift store, I miss them! Sure we have one here called D.I.'s and everyone donates there (which is good, they help other countries) but their prices are way to high for a thrift store. I rarely find a good bargain like that.

You get better deals than anyone I know. Nice find. I have had a punch bowl with ladel and glasses for 15 years and I don't think I've ever used it.

You have unbelievable luck at the goodwill store!!

I got my punch bowl at Bed Bath and Beyond, but it doesn't look anywhere near as cool as yours!

Love the dress!

My mother-in-law was going to have my husband sell a punch bowl for her on eBay (and he got to keep the proceeds). It is green carnival glass and so fun! I snagged it right up and it makes me smile everytime I see it in the cupboard. I just need to use it more often!

I love that you find such great things at thrift stores/ flea markets. I wish I had that talent. Yes, it is a talent to find such treasures because whenever I've gone to one I don't find anything great. You must have the eye for it.

love it! I don't know how you find this stuff. I always end up using my giant glass salad bowl as a punch bowl. Must keep my eyes open for such a steal.

If that Susan is from my town, she is right! Our Goodwill is way over priced and the finds are few and far between. I love to go for the hunt but most of the time I leave disappointed. But I always try, that's the best part!

Love the dress, it has Kristi (or AK) written all over it!

Love your finds! So great. I've just come back to thrifting after years of never setting foot in one. We have a "value des Village" here! I used to love it and it's great to be back and good find heaven!

Wow - what a great Goodwill day! I agree about the punch bowl. I taught home economics in my pre-children days and we owned a punch bowl in the home ec. department that we had a sign up sheet for since so many people wanted to borrow it!
That Lilly Pulitzer dress is an ultimate steal!!
Good for you!

Goodwill is a great place to find glassware (I have a punch bowl and tons of glass snack sets from the 60s that I never get to use) but I have never found anything as cute as that Lilly dress!

This looks great! I thought of you on Saturday as I was going to breakfast with Kelly, Emily and Mandy (as she was in town visiting Kel) - we drove past a HUGE church yard sale. I wondered what amazing things we would have found had we stopped.
You are the master hunter though - perhaps we would need some tips.
Great little dress and sweater!

*sigh* Those are good bargains!

I think our charity shops have cottoned on to ppl looking for bargains over here and have hiked all their prices up.

I wanted to buy a battered old vintage girls' annual (book) for Erin from the early 80s, and they wanted £4.99 for it - that's over $10!! You could probably buy a handful of NEW books for that.

Holy moly, you do find the best things! I wish we had a Goodwill here -- but then, it would probably be just as picked over as D.I. The dress is amazing.

My mom was here a few weeks ago and I was trying to get her to commit to what she would give me when she was gone (honestly, it wasn't as morbid as it sounds). One of the things I asked for was her glass punch bowl set, and she honestly replied, 'You want that old thing?'

Silly mom! Glass punch bowls are so fun! They remind me of old Haley Mills movies.

I think I'll have to move if I ever want to find good stuff like that punch bowl at a thrift store. Our DI is always so busy you'd think it was a fancy department store! Nothing stays there long enough to find it. My one score (other than books) was my red buffet.
