I would LOVE to sit in on one of your lessons... you are blessed with so many gifts - they are lucky to have you. Great idea about the big manual - I didn't know you could get them in that size.

Looks like it was a memorable lesson. We had that one last week! I agree, i think a teacher is the best calling in the church.

how many times have you been driving behind someone with a huge load and think about what if something from that load flew off and hit me? I do all the time! I cannot believe it happened to Jeff. So dangerous! Glad he is ok. I would have helped you out with a quote today---anything for those yummy candy corns! heehee

I would love to take a class from you, I'm sure that you do a wonderful job. I like the treats, yeah for treats. I loved being in the pres. because we got to teach once a month.

I am grateful all is well with your husband, especially considering the phone calls that were being called in. Not a nice thought.
I love our RS teachers, and the fact that you added treats....well, let's just say, I would have been participating up the wazoo!

Whoa, you didn't tell me about Jeff on the phone when I called today, but I didn't give you much time. It reminded me of the time when you were on a county road and hit a horse, and it came through the windshield. You and your friend were both so lucky alive after. I'm glad that he and his friend are okay. What a scare! I know your lesson was wonderful too. You are a great teacher. I think I may give treats this Sunday along with my less as well.
I always loved to teach Relief Society. Although, I haven't had that calling since college. I love the idea of a treat on the quotes that people read. Cute idea!

OH my gosh that is sooo scary! I am glad he is fine! I always avoid driving behind something like that...just yesterday I was in the freeway and they suddenly stopped and there was a trailer almost parallel to us, that SLAMED on the brakes and smoke came out! Scary! but to brake the windshield...OHHHHH and the leson looks ADORABLE>>. if you still have a copy of the lesson I would love to have one (good mail????) that would be so fun to get!--

[Image]teaching. Today was my Sunday to teach the Relief Society lesson. I was so nervous, which is actually kind of rare for me. It was on Temple work. It was the Sunday where the 16 -17 year old girls (Laurels) come in.. brilliant idea. The above photo are my printed quotes from the lesson to help people get involved. I always paste a treat at the top of the papers for a before Thank You. It was perfect because I gave them to the Laurels and it really helped them get involved in the lesson. I also use the gigantic lesson manual, which I love because you have so much room to write notes on the side. I learn so much from getting in front of people and teaching a lesson. It is humbling, scary, educational and yet again humbling.
of note... Jeff was in a car accident today in Toronto coming back from Niagara Falls. A car in front of his had a sheet of metal that fell off their car and hit Jeff's windshield and shattered the glass all over him and his friend. Neither of them were hurt but calls from cell phones that saw the accident said they saw someone get their head cut off so there was quite a scene of police cars and ambulances. The amazing thing is the car never even stopped, kind of like a drop and run. It put quite a bump in their day and they missed the afternoon of conferences, but he said Niagara was amazing. Whew that was close!!
