More great photos Kristi! It looks like you guys had fun and that everyone was happy to be there. That's a bonus. What's with all the swings and benches there? Who actually hangs out there?

I have never been to DC, but am dying to go some day. I have a friend, Becca Leichty, who lives there with her hub and 4 boys, she says there are endless things to do. So fun! Envious!

I didn't realize they had the garden tour quarterly, I thought it was only offered in spring and fall. How great that you were able to go. It is pretty neat to be on the White House lawn. I was fortunate enough to go into the rose garden to see Pres. Bush get on Marine One. That was neat, but I think I would like the garden tour much better. I'll have to keep my eye out for the next one.

The garden tour looks like a lot of fun. I can't believe they let people get within yards of the Oval Office, what with all the security issues these days. And I'm sooooo jealous you got to have lunch at Cosi!

Kristi--I have to hand it too you, in such a short time you really are taking advantage of all around you! What amazes me is that most of the time you are doing by yourself with the three girls. You are awesome!

When I worked at the senate I definitely had the connections, but unfortunately not anymore. :( Good thing I took advantage of all of the opportunities I was offered during the 2 years I worked there!!

Oh, you've probably thought about it already but you should consider trying for a White House tour. It's especially neat in December. Unless you have other connections, you have to request them through your representatives offices. It's a long process (I would recommend requesting a tour 6 months in advance) and there are lots of rules. Luckily I know a few tricks. If you decide this is something you want to do, let me know and I'll tell you all of the details (I was the tour coordinator for Senator Bennett), or you can call your Senator or Congressman's office.
