Those are awesome pictures.

I totally got chills when you wrote about your dad not wanting to mine and then doing land reclamation for strip mining, about us running away and coming back full circle. I guess its inevatable in some sense.

You are quite a writer kbc! I love it.

I love Uncle Bruce! He has always been so sweet to me. Everytime I see him, he tells me I am pretty. During those pudgy adolescent years it helped so much. It also helped that my very cool cousin Kristi paid attention to me. I was the only 5th grader with an ESPRIT bag who listened to Duran Duran.

My Grampy (Skinny Wahl) was the best dressed man I ever knew. In a quite sort of way, he taught me I could do anything, as did my own Dad. My Dad died just as I started my Ph.D. and my Grampy died the month I finished my Ph.D. They were great examples and inspirations to me. My Dad taught me to love the outdoors, and my Grampy to love myself. I rarely dress up that I don't think of him. He was always kind, especially to me!
