You really deserve a hearty kudos for throwing the tv out. Adam and I talk about it, but haven't made the leap. Congrats on 2 weeks.

I'm so impressed that you've gone 2 week without the tv. We did 5 days and were so glad when they were over. We did fine on the days we weren't watching, but now don't want to go back to the experiment. I think it was a good thing to try, and I liked the way we used our time together, especially at night. We have always limited tv watching for the kids, so they aren't out of control with it, but it was interesting to see how it affected me and Randy.

Its really cool you have done this. I do admit I use the TV as a babysitter, but am very confindent in the amount they watch. There are too many activities going so it is mainly in the morning. Look at me trying to justify it. Anyway what ever work i think is great. BTW did you know it is national turn off your tv week. I read it in Bella's school newsletter. looks like you and jill were ahead of the game.

You and Jill have inspired me. I have cut way back on our daytime TV, I too use it as a babysitter! But I am finding myself playing outside with the girls, getting back to our walks etc! My husband and I still watch our "shows" after the kids are in bed...we have to take baby steps! But thanks for the idea and I am so happy that is working so well for you!

Wow! Jeremy and I took the first step to at least severely lessening our TV watching. We deleted half of out season passes in our TiVo (the show the just automatically record each week) We had 20! Yes, we watched 20 shows. Now we have 11--5 of which are mine alone. I'll try to slowly wean myself. I do't think I can go cold turkey. Maybe over the summer. . .
