That looks so cute! Now I have to find a copy, because my sister has a little girl and is convinced her next baby will be a boy (thanks to Jill's ring test). Her nursery is pink and lime green and I'm sure she would love this book!

[Image]thE VerY LiTtle giRl This book is one of our family favorties. I checked out at a library when we were living in New Orleans. I searched for about 6 months to find it and found a used copy online. It is a wonderful little book and would make the perfect baby gift for a mother who has a little girl and is having a little boy. The back of the book says, Smaller than a rosebush Smaller than a kitchen stool She was "the very little girl" But then something happened. and the end of the book she becomes a big sister to her little brother. The illustration is by Ninon. I tried to do a little research on them but came up with nothing. But the drawing in this book are incredible. The only colors used are black, white, lime green and pink. (you know i am going crazy) I found one an an auction right now for $3.75. Great deal. Someone is also selling one on ebay for $50.00. But it would be a fun book to look up next time you go to the library and even more fun to track down for a friend who has a little girl who is going to have a boy. ( I bought it for that reason for us but no boys in our house, just girls.
