Police investigating the apparent suicide of Freddie Mac (FRE) acting chief financial officer David Kellermann confirmed the presence of a gun and a gunshot wound, AHN Media reported Wednesday on its Web site. Kellermann was found dead at his home early in the morning, according to Fairfax County police.
Police spokesman Lucy Caldwell told AHN that other people were present at the home at the time of Kellermann’s death, in Reston, Va., and that there was a gun and a gunshot wound. Kellermann’s wife told local police he committed suicide, Washington, D.C., television station WUSA reported, citing county sheriff’s deputies. morningstar.com----

Israeli death squads have been authorised to enter "friendly" countries and assassinate opponents in a move that raises the prospect of political killings in Australia.
Agents of the Israeli secret service Mossad have been given free rein to kill those deemed to be a threat to the Jewish state - wherever they are hiding.
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who has until now refused permission for assassinations on the home ground of allies, has reversed the policy as part of a more aggressive approach to terrorism.
The move was revealed by former Mossad agents in a series of interviews with US news agency United Press International. It was later confirmed by US intelligence officials.
They said the policy raised the potential for killings in countries with close ties to Israel, including the US, Britain and Australia.
One Mossad official told UPI the policy shift was prompted by "a huge budget" increase for the agency as part of "a tougher stance in fighting global jihad (or holy war)".
"Targeted killings" have, in the main, been restricted to the West Bank and Gaza because "no one wanted such operations on their territory", one Israeli official said.
But that is changing with the appointment late last year of new Mossad director Meir Dagan.
Another former Mossad agent told UPI: "Diplomatic constraints have prevented Mossad from carrying out preventive operations (assassinations) on the soil of friendly countries until now." ......

Apparent suicide -- my ass.
Freddie Mac was going down long before this guy agreed to act as its Chief Financial Officer. Forty-one year olds don't kill themselves unless either their personal lives are falling apart or they're about to be indicted for a major felony that would land them in prison for a very long time.
This guy agreed to become acting CFO less than a year ago -- long after it became apparent that something terribly wrong was going on at Freddie Mac. If Kellerman was in on the whole scam, he wouldn't have assumed responsibility for it just as everyone else was bailing out.
Moreover, this guy had been with the company since he was no more than 25 years old - sounds like dedication to me.
More likely, six months into uncovering exactly what the f*ck happened over the last five to ten years at Freddie Mac, this guy began discovering precisely who was behind this fiasco and how they did it. So, they offed him.
Kellermann was found dead in his Reston, Va., home. The 41-year-old Kellermann has been Freddie Mac's chief financial officer since September.
Jennings said that a crime scene crew and homicide detectives were investigating the death, but that there didn't appear to be any sign of foul play.
McLean-based Freddie Mac has been criticized heavily for reckless business practices that some argue contributed to the housing and financial crisis. Freddic Mac is a government-controlled company that owns or guarantees about 13 million home loans. CEO David Moffett resigned last month.

Kellermann was named acting chief financial officer in September 2008, after the resignation of Anthony "Buddy" Piszel, who stepped down after the September 2008 government takeover.

Before taking that job, Kellerman served as senior vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer. He was with Freddie Mac for more than 16 years. People must demand a thorough and independent investigation of this guys death. Otherwise, his murder - along with the rape of this nation -- will continue to go unopposed and unpunished.
