Do we still not comprehend how this con works? You can stop buying; it wouldn't hurt one bit. In fact these greedy bast turds will be bailed out one by one and we'll get the check in the form of future taxes.

What a clever way to enslave the entire earth. Make money out of thin air, loan that to J6P who puts in his time, skill and labor to make something out of nothing. Bankers just laugh at the idiot, print some more paper, making it even more worthless. J6P can't pay the banker back cuz of all this inflation and banker takes over not only his work product but gets "bailed-out" by J6P's future income.

.. and here we are hoping for the price system to work its magic for the prices of plastic crap to fall. If Hayek were still alive even he'd oppose this notion.

So, sit back and enjoy while retailers get buried in aisle after aisle of unwanted goods.

Pretty soon they'll be giving it away.

Everyone except Wal Mart. They'll use this depression to bury what's left of the competition.

Welcome to Wal Mart Nation.

No wonder Wal Mart's colors are blue and white.

I didn't say that sitting back and watching prices fall was the solution to all our problems.

But, there is certainly something to be said for refusing to buy new things and forcing the entire economy for unnecessary goods to come crashing down.

That's a huge sector of the economy.

Of course, they still have us by the balls when it comes to consumables like food, water, energy and communications systems. That's why local farming is so crucial these days.

But anyway, "baba" you took a shot at the post but did not offer your own suggestion for who to fight these bastards.

People are not buying because they just don't have extra borrowed money; not because they've finally realized the big con.

Credit has been intentionally tightened up. The moment you loosen the credit tap you'd see suckers gathering round it like flies on shit. All will resume buying worthless plastic crap made in other countries without realizing that it takes away the livelihood of some of their fellow citizens.

Talks of some kind of a 'turnaround' or an invisible sucker punch to these demons are premature. We still have our balls in a vise and are way way too far from a critical mass of awakening or realization. The majority is still asleep; trusting their darling government to save them from those evil brown non-Christians in Overthereistan.

It's in our genes, inserted there synthetically by the descendants of the goldsmiths.
Remember what Bush said the day after 9/11? Don't worry, go out and shop, we'll do the heavy work.

Shop till you drop.... dead from buying all that cheap, plastic shit from China and GMO food from Monsanto and Dupont.

Christmas should be called "Merry Conspicious Comsuption Day" since we've been programmed that buying some gifts for someone is the same as giving them love.

We haven't done consumption day for a long time, and let me tell you how much better it is to be with your loved ones, to be thankful for what you do have, and keep the materials minimal. It really is the thought that counts, and our actions that matter.
